What Are Sacred Connections

at Back Roads Farm

Honoring the Earth as our Mother, teacher, and most importantly our home.

As technology encroaches into all areas of our life, Back Roads Farms LLC offers an opportunity to spend time making Sacred Connections to Earth.  Medicinal gardens are offered, filled with herbs, plants that are not only wonderful to look at but tasty to eat.  The butterflies call this home as well at the Honeybees and Pollinators.

Walking in the Sacred Geometry meditation gardens, stay for a few days in a tent, cabin, vintage camper or tiny house, taking time to sink into your body with the help of the hot stone massage, a sauna, or listen to a singing bowl concert, under the stars.

As your senses are filled, express your gratitude—painting a picture or taking pottery class.

Enjoy browsing in the pottery gallery where salves, tinctures, and dried flowers, herbs, and Medicinals are available.

Your hostess, Sandy Pond.

Becoming a farmer at 65 has been the most rewarding experience of my life.  Sinking into the Earth, feeling safe, allows me to deepen my responsibility to respect, honor, and protect its Sacred gifts of water, food, and shelter.

Bringing my 70 years of life experience together here at Back Roads Farm LLC is a delight, as I am able to share my knowledge, wisdom, and creativity.  Creating “Sacred Space” for 20 years, being a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist since 2007, yoga instructor, sound healer, and a professional potter, teacher, and gallery owner. Also an Aging to Sageing mentor, an ordained minister since 1987, and extensive traveler, and camper since birth. As an entrepreneur, I have started and owned a lumber company, to Art Galleries, to working in a Nuclear Power Plant.  Traveling to Nepal, Bhutan, and across India in jeep to 20+ trips to Israel, and Middle East as a guide, an artist, and resident on the Mt. of Olives, has given me an appreciation for what I have, and an understanding of the conflicts of different cultures.

Blossoming is not just for flowers, as humans there are many stages we go through, at 70 I am just beginning to Blossom, and I desire to share the fragrance with you.  Come into the garden, let the North, the South, the East and West winds blow – perhaps gather some seeds to plant. Together we can make a beautiful bouquet.

Winter is a great time to nestle in, cozy up in the pottery studio, do some snow shoeing, and enjoy the iridescent shadows on the snow. Whatever the season, the magic happens.

“The Earth misses you. Come home.”
