Pottery Classes

Holding clay—feeling its “aliveness”—centers us and grounds us to the present moment, and encourages us to sink into, and ground into the Earth.

Having our hands in clay connects us to our ancestors who have lived all over the globe, for millions of years, as well as connecting us to future generations who may unearth our works creations in a million years from now.  Clay combines the disciplines of biology, chemistry, sociology, history, archaeology, mathematics, and science.  Clay also combines the Elements of Earth, fire, water, our metal, and you!  Your Soul, your Spirit, your creativity, and you’re in charge of every fingerprint you make. Clay is alive and connecting to clay is connecting to Earth, and Earth is Sacred.

You’re welcome to come alone or in a group, once or all year. Clay takes practice and if you’re stuck a quick lesson can catapult your experience. Clay is great for homeschoolers, fathers and sons, or a group night out. Classes are available in my studio in Cabot, Vermont and, when offered, at the public school.

And don’t worry if you’re not quite sure what’s the best fit for you! We can talk over all the options and figure out the perfect class together.
